Sterling Standard is a men's grooming and gifting house opening in Glenview this fall. We are building the team now, ahead of doors, so the people who open with us have time to learn the room and set the tone.

We are looking for licensed professionals and hospitality people who take pride in the details. Competitive pay, a clean and well-equipped space, and the chance to shape how a new business runs from day one.

Nail Technician

Full-time / Part-time

Manicures and pedicures done to a standard our guests come back for. You will work in a space designed around men's grooming, with proper equipment, a clean station, and a steady book once we open.

  • Current Illinois nail technician license
  • Experience with manicures, pedicures, and callus and cuticle care
  • Comfortable maintaining a spotless, sanitized station
  • A calm, unhurried chairside manner
  • Available for some evenings and Saturdays

Esthetician

Full-time / Part-time

Facials, hot towel treatments, and waxing for a clientele that is often new to skincare. You will guide guests through their first treatment and build a routine they actually keep.

  • Current Illinois esthetics license
  • Experience with facials, extractions, and men's skin concerns
  • Body and brow waxing experience preferred
  • Able to recommend home care without pressure
  • Available for some evenings and Saturdays

Barber / Grooming Specialist

Full-time / Part-time

Beard shaping, line-ups, and conditioning treatments. Precision matters here more than volume. You will have the time to do the work properly.

  • Current Illinois barber or cosmetology license
  • Strong clipper, shear, and straight razor technique
  • Beard sculpting and hot towel service experience
  • Builds a personal book and keeps it
  • Available for some evenings and Saturdays

Guest Experience Coordinator

Full-time

The first voice and first face of Sterling Standard. You run the front desk, manage the book, handle check-in and checkout, and make sure no guest ever feels like a transaction.

  • Front desk, hospitality, or retail experience preferred
  • Comfortable with scheduling software, point of sale, and text and email follow-up
  • Warm on the phone and organized under pressure
  • Can hold a membership conversation without a hard sell
  • Detail-oriented with cash handling and daily close

Retail and Gifting Associate

Part-time

Our gift counter is half the business. You will build and stage gift boxes, manage the shelf, keep inventory honest, and help guests choose something better than they would have picked alone.

  • Retail, merchandising, or gift shop experience
  • An eye for presentation, packaging, and display
  • Accurate with inventory counts and restocking
  • Genuinely enjoys helping people pick out a gift
  • Weekend and holiday availability during peak seasons

Shift Lead

Full-time

Keeps the floor running. You open and close, coach the team in the moment, resolve guest issues before they escalate, and hold the standard when ownership is not in the building.

  • Two or more years in a salon, spa, barbershop, or hospitality lead role
  • Comfortable coaching and holding people accountable
  • Can open and close independently
  • Strong problem solver with guests and with scheduling
  • Licensed service providers encouraged to apply
